BLUES POINT TOWNHOUSE
This townhouse seemed very small and pokey when my clients purchased it. It had carpet and timber and tiling on the floors that emphasised the small sizes of the rooms.
It had the added problem that the ceiling was the underside of the concrete slab of the apartment above - so no recessed lighting! But we had a lot of fun finding ceiling-mounted lights.
We tiled the whole apartment in tumbled travertine as a continuous background for the beautiful rugs the clients owned.
We painted very soft colours as a foil for the artwork and used their existing contemporary furniture.
The kitchen was completely gutted and changed into a great space for passionate cooks and the bathrooms were updated very simply.
We were able to do this complete project quite quickly as it was mostly redecorating and now it's hard to remember how it looked originally.
